Matthew 26:42

³⁹He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

¹⁵For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

³⁹Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words. ⁴⁰Again he returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they didn’t know what to answer him.

¹LORD, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you. ²Let my prayer enter into your presence. Turn your ear to my cry.

⁷He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, ⁸though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.

¹⁷Don’t hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily! ¹⁸Draw near to my soul and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.

¹Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck! ²I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. ³I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God.

¹My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? ²My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
