Matthew 18:24

⁴For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

³If you, LORD,^[+] kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? ⁴But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are feared.

⁶and I said, “My God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God, for our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guiltiness has grown up to the heavens.

⁴Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them—do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem?

¹²For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.

⁵Calling each one of his lord’s debtors to him, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe to my lord?’

⁷and they gave for the service of God’s house of gold five thousand talents^[+] and ten thousand darics,^[+] of silver ten thousand talents, of bronze eighteen thousand talents, and of iron one hundred thousand talents.

⁷Then he said to another, ‘How much do you owe?’ He said, ‘A hundred cors^[+] of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’

⁴¹“A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. ⁴²When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”
