Psalms 93:3-4
3The floods have lifted up, LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their waves. 4Above the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty.

Psalms 107:23-30
23Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters, 24these see the LORD’s deeds, and his wonders in the deep. 25For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves. 26They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble. 27They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. 28Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress. 29He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still. 30Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.
Psalms 124:2-4
2if it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us, 3then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us, 4then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul.
Isaiah 51:9-10
9Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster? 10Isn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
Acts 27:14-20
14But before long, a stormy wind beat down from shore, which is called Euroclydon.15[+] When the ship was caught and couldn’t face the wind, we gave way to it and were driven along. 16Running under the lee of a small island called Clauda, we were able, with difficulty, to secure the boat. 17After they had hoisted it up, they used cables to help reinforce the ship. Fearing that they would run aground on the Syrtis sand bars, they lowered the sea anchor, and so were driven along. 18As we labored exceedingly with the storm, the next day they began to throw things overboard. 19On the third day, they threw out the ship’s tackle with their own hands. 20When neither sun nor stars shone on us for many days, and no small storm pressed on us, all hope that we would be saved was now taken away.
