Luke 7:33

¹⁵For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

⁶John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.

⁵²Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’

¹³Others, mocking, said, “They are filled with new wine.”

⁸“You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.” ⁹For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. ¹⁰It will happen, when you tell this people all these words, and they ask you, ‘Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us?’ or ‘What is our iniquity?’ or ‘What is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’

²⁰Many of them said, “He has a demon and is insane! Why do you listen to him?”

⁴Now John himself wore clothing made of camel’s hair with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.

⁴⁸Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”

²⁵It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul,^[+] how much more those of his household!
