Luke 20:42

¹The LORD says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”

³⁴For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand ³⁵until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’

¹³But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”

³⁶For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’

³⁷Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.

⁴³He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?

⁴⁵“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

⁴⁴He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms concerning me must be fulfilled.”

²⁵For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

¹Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel: ²“The LORD’s Spirit spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.

⁷Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,

²⁰For it is written in the book of Psalms, ‘Let his habitation be made desolate. Let no one dwell in it;’and, ‘Let another take his office.’
