Hebrews 3:7

⁷for he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice! ⁸Don’t harden your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, ⁹when your fathers tempted me, tested me, and saw my work. ¹⁰Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “They are a people who err in their heart. They have not known my ways.” ¹¹Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They won’t enter into my rest.”

¹⁵while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”

³Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

²⁰Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.

⁷he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

²⁷My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

¹³Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!

¹³but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

¹Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain. ²For he says, “At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.”Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.

¹¹But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
