Leviticus 16:24

³“Aaron shall come into the sanctuary with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. ⁴He shall put on the holy linen tunic. He shall have the linen trousers on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on. ⁵He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

¹⁹Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, ²¹and having a great priest over God’s house, ²²let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water,

⁶Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water. ⁷He put the tunic on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him and fastened it to him with it. ⁸He placed the breastplate on him. He put the Urim and Thummim in the breastplate. ⁹He set the turban on his head. He set the golden plate, the holy crown, on the front of the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁶the person that touches any such shall be unclean until the evening, and shall not eat of the holy things unless he bathes his body in water.

⁹It shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows. He shall shave off all his hair. He shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his body in water. Then he shall be clean.

⁴These are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a fitted tunic, a turban, and a sash. They shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office. ⁵They shall use the gold, and the blue, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen.

⁶“They shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the skillful workman. ⁷It shall have two shoulder straps joined to the two ends of it, that it may be joined together. ⁸The skillfully woven band, which is on it, shall be like its work and of the same piece; of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen. ⁹You shall take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the children of Israel. ¹⁰Six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the other stone, in the order of their birth. ¹¹With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones, according to the names of the children of Israel. You shall make them to be enclosed in settings of gold. ¹²You shall put the two stones on the shoulder straps of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel. Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial. ¹³You shall make settings of gold, ¹⁴and two chains of pure gold; you shall make them like cords of braided work. You shall put the braided chains on the settings.

¹⁰being only (with foods and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

⁵and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood— ⁶and he made us to be a Kingdom, prieststo his God and Father—to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁴You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water. ⁵You shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and clothe him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
