Job 34:4

²¹Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.

²The LORD’s Spirit will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. ³His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; ⁴but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked. ⁵Righteousness will be the belt around his waist, and faithfulness the belt around his waist.

¹¹But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned. ¹²For before some people came from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. ¹³And the rest of the Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. ¹⁴But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?

²Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

³⁰It was so, that all who saw it said, “Such a deed has not been done or seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt to this day! Consider it, take counsel, and speak.”

⁷Behold, you children of Israel, all of you, give here your advice and counsel.”

³⁶I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.

²Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? ³Don’t you know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? ⁴If then you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who are of no account in the assembly? ⁵I say this to move you to shame. Isn’t there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?

²⁴Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”
