Job 25:2

²⁰and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.

¹⁶They told the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,

²⁰which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.

³⁴At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honored him who lives forever, for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation. ³⁵All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and no one can stop his hand, or ask him, “What are you doing?”

³⁶At the same time my understanding returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added to me. ³⁷Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.

⁶There is no one like you, LORD. You are great, and your name is great in might. ⁷Who shouldn’t fear you, King of the nations? For it belongs to you. Because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is no one like you.

¹¹Yours, LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ¹²Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!

⁵“The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them. ⁶Sheol^[+] is naked before God, and Abaddon^[+] has no covering. ⁷He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing. ⁸He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them. ⁹He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it. ¹⁰He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness. ¹¹The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. ¹²He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab. ¹³By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent. ¹⁴Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

²⁵to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

¹The LORD reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved. ²The LORD is great in Zion. He is high above all the peoples. ³Let them praise your great and awesome name. He is Holy!

²“Truly I know that it is so, but how can man be just with God? ³If he is pleased to contend with him, he can’t answer him one time in a thousand. ⁴God is wise in heart, and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him and prospered? ⁵He removes the mountains, and they don’t know it, when he overturns them in his anger. ⁶He shakes the earth out of its place. Its pillars tremble. ⁷He commands the sun and it doesn’t rise, and seals up the stars. ⁸He alone stretches out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea. ⁹He makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the rooms of the south. ¹⁰He does great things past finding out; yes, marvelous things without number.
