Job 19:9

⁴⁴You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground.

⁷when I went out to the city gate, when I prepared my seat in the street. ⁸The young men saw me and hid themselves. The aged rose up and stood. ⁹The princes refrained from talking, and laid their hand on their mouth. ¹⁰The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth. ¹¹For when the ear heard me, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw me, it commended me, ¹²because I delivered the poor who cried, and the fatherless also, who had no one to help him, ¹³the blessing of him who was ready to perish came on me, and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. ¹⁴I put on righteousness, and it clothed me. My justice was as a robe and a diadem.

¹⁶The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!

¹⁷He leads counselors away stripped. He makes judges fools.

³⁹You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.

¹“But now those who are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I considered unworthy to put with my sheep dogs.

¹¹As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird. There will be no birth, no one with child, and no conception.

⁶But you will be called the LORD’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations. You will boast in their glory.

¹⁶Don’t be afraid when a man is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; ¹⁷for when he dies he will carry nothing away. His glory won’t descend after him.

²⁰My glory is fresh in me. My bow is renewed in my hand.’ ²¹“Men listened to me, waited, and kept silence for my counsel.
