Job 17:9

¹⁸But the path of the righteous is like the dawning light that shines more and more until the perfect day.

¹⁵When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. ¹⁶Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.

³⁰He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”

¹⁶A wise man fears and shuns evil, but the fool is hot headed and reckless.

⁹He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

¹⁰Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

⁷They go from strength to strength. Every one of them appears before God in Zion.

⁵Didn’t he tell me, ‘She is my sister’? She, even she herself, said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”

²⁹He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. ³⁰Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; ³¹but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

⁶I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, LORD,

¹³Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence,
