John 9:17

¹⁹The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

²²For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you. ²³It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’²⁴Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days. ²⁵You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’^26[+] God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.”

¹⁴When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said, “This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.”

³⁸how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

¹¹The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

¹⁹He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

²²“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,
