John 17:12

⁶Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand. ⁷When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin. ⁸Let his days be few. Let another take his office. ⁹Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. ¹⁰Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins. ¹¹Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor. ¹²Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children. ¹³Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out. ¹⁴Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out. ¹⁵Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth; ¹⁶because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them. ¹⁷Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him. ¹⁸He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones. ¹⁹Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

²⁷My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. ²⁸I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

⁹that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”

¹⁸I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’

³⁷All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

¹⁶“Brothers, it was necessary that this Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was guide to those who took Jesus. ¹⁷For he was counted with us, and received his portion in this ministry. ¹⁸Now this man obtained a field with the reward for his wickedness; and falling headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines gushed out. ¹⁹It became known to everyone who lived in Jerusalem that in their language that field was called ‘Akeldama,’ that is, ‘The field of blood.’ ²⁰For it is written in the book of Psalms, ‘Let his habitation be made desolate. Let no one dwell in it;’and, ‘Let another take his office.’

³⁹This is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁰This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

⁷⁰Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” ⁷¹Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve.

¹⁹They went out from us, but they didn’t belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

²⁵to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place.”
