Jeremiah 51:15

¹¹“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One,^[+] to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed and were created!”

¹²God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens. ¹³When he utters his voice, the waters in the heavens roar, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries. ¹⁴Every man has become brutish and without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his engraved image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. ¹⁵They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation they will perish. ¹⁶The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the maker of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance. The LORD of Armies is his name.

¹⁷“Ah Lord GOD! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.

¹⁶For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. ¹⁷He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

²⁰For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.

¹⁵“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

¹⁹By wisdom the LORD founded the earth. By understanding, he established the heavens.

^1[+] Praise the LORD!^[+] Praise the LORD^[+] from the heavens! Praise him in the heights! ²Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all his army! ³Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you shining stars! ⁴Praise him, you heavens of heavens, you waters that are above the heavens. ⁵Let them praise the LORD’s name, for he commanded, and they were created.

⁸He alone stretches out the heavens, and treads on the waves of the sea.

⁵to him who by understanding made the heavens, for his loving kindness endures forever;
