Judges 3:9

¹⁵But when the children of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a savior for them: Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. The children of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab.

¹³Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, took it, so he gave him Achsah his daughter as his wife.

⁵They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

¹⁰The children of Israel cried to the LORD, saying, “We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.”

⁷When the children of Israel cried to the LORD because of Midian,

³The children of Israel cried to the LORD, for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and he mightily oppressed the children of Israel for twenty years.

¹⁶The LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.

¹³Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. ¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains. ¹⁵Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men! ¹⁶For he has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron. ¹⁷Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities. ¹⁸Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death. ¹⁹Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.

¹⁰They cried to the LORD, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth; but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve you.’

³⁴When he killed them, then they inquired after him. They returned and sought God earnestly.
