Isaiah 41:1

¹⁸“Come now, and let’s reason together,” says the LORD: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

²⁰But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”

¹³Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!”

¹⁰“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

⁶Everyone helps his neighbor. They say to their brothers, “Be strong!” ⁷So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith. He who smooths with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil, saying of the soldering, “It is good;” and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.

³Brace yourself like a man, for I will question you, then you answer me!

¹¹It will happen in that day that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

¹Come near, you nations, to hear! Listen, you peoples. Let the earth and all it contains hear, the world, and everything that comes from it.

⁷“Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me. ⁸Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified? ⁹Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰“Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.

¹⁰Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ¹¹Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves together.” Cause your mighty ones to come down there, LORD.
