Zechariah 2:13

²⁰But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”

⁷Be silent at the presence of the Lord^[+] GOD, for the day of the LORD is at hand. For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice. He has consecrated his guests.

⁵A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

⁶⁵Then the Lord awakened as one out of sleep, like a mighty man who shouts by reason of wine.

¹⁰“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”

⁸“Therefore wait for me”, says the LORD, “until the day that I rise up to the prey, for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms to pour on them my indignation, even all my fierce anger, for all the earth will be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

⁹Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?

⁴The LORD is in his holy temple. The LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.

¹³The LORD will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies. ¹⁴“I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant. ¹⁵I will destroy mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs. I will make the rivers islands, and will dry up the pools.

²⁰But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?”
