Isaiah 30:23

¹¹But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says the LORD of Armies. ¹²“For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew. I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.

⁹You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it. ¹⁰You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. ¹¹You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. ¹²The wilderness grasslands overflow. The hills are clothed with gladness. ¹³The pastures are covered with flocks. The valleys also are clothed with grain. They shout for joy! They also sing.

²⁰Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the donkey.

¹¹and the LORD will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.

¹²Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace. ¹³Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision. Our sheep produce thousands and ten thousands in our fields. ¹⁴Our oxen will pull heavy loads. There is no breaking in, and no going away, and no outcry in our streets.

⁸They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

²¹Land, don’t be afraid. Be glad and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. ²²Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness spring up, for the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. ²³“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD, your God; for he gives you the early rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the early rain and the latter rain, as before. ²⁴The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. ²⁵I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you. ²⁶You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied, and will praise the name of the LORD, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed.

¹³He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works. ¹⁴He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:

⁷“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One field was rained on, and the field where it didn’t rain withered. ⁸So two or three cities staggered to one city to drink water, and were not satisfied; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says the LORD.

⁸For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.
