Isaiah 30:1

²I have spread out my hands all day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;

²Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for the LORD ^[+] has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children and they have rebelled against me.

¹³Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

¹⁰But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. Therefore he turned and became their enemy, and he himself fought against them.

⁵But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,

¹⁵Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from the LORD, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”

¹⁰They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned listening to the LORD. ¹¹Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding. ¹²My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God.

⁵¹“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do. ⁵²Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.

¹³But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

⁹I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”
