Isaiah 10:27

⁴For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian.

¹⁸“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted,^[+] to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

²⁵that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and tread him under foot on my mountains. Then his yoke will leave them, and his burden leave their shoulders.

¹⁵“Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”

²⁰You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

⁷You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

⁶Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.

⁹What do you plot against the LORD? He will make a full end. Affliction won’t rise up the second time. ¹⁰For entangled like thorns, and drunken as with their drink, they are consumed utterly like dry stubble. ¹¹One has gone out of you who devises evil against the LORD, who counsels wickedness.

¹²The LORD says: “Though they are in full strength and likewise many, even so they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more. ¹³Now I will break his yoke from off you, and will burst your bonds apart.”

²⁷As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

¹⁷I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed. ¹⁸I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”
