Hosea 12:9

⁴⁰You shall take on the first day the fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. ⁴¹You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations. You shall keep it in the seventh month. ⁴²You shall dwell in temporary shelters^[+] for seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in temporary shelters,^43[+] that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in temporary shelters^[+] when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’”

¹⁵and that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and get olive branches, branches of wild olive, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make temporary shelters,^[+] as it is written.”

¹⁶So the people went out and brought them, and made themselves temporary shelters,^[+] on the roof of his house, in their courts, in the courts of God’s house, in the wide place of the water gate, and in the wide place of Ephraim’s gate. ¹⁷All the assembly of those who had come back out of the captivity made temporary shelters^[+] and lived in the temporary shelters, for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun to that day the children of Israel had not done so. There was very great gladness.

¹⁰I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

²the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

⁴“Yet I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior.

²“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

⁴They kept the feast of booths, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the ordinance, as the duty of every day required;

⁴¹I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.”

⁷You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, or have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land in which you live as nomads.’

²Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
