Genesis 9:21

¹⁵“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies! ¹⁶You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

¹Wine is a mocker and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

³¹Don’t look at the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly. ³²In the end, it bites like a snake, and poisons like a viper.

²that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance,

²¹envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

⁹This is the history of the generations of Noah: Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.

²⁰Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and doesn’t sin.

¹²Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.

³²Come, let’s make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve our father’s family line.” ³³They made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father. He didn’t know when she lay down, nor when she arose. ³⁴It came to pass on the next day, that the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father. Let’s make him drink wine again tonight. You go in, and lie with him, that we may preserve our father’s family line.” ³⁵They made their father drink wine that night also. The younger went and lay with him. He didn’t know when she lay down, nor when she got up. ³⁶Thus both of Lot’s daughters were with child by their father.

¹³Let’s walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy.
