Romans 13:13

²¹envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

¹⁸Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

³For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, ⁴that each one of you know how to control his own body^[+] in sanctification and honor, ⁵not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God,

¹⁵Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

⁶he who says he remains in him ought himself also to walk just like he walked.

³⁴“So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

³For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries. ⁴They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you. ⁵They will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

¹²that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

¹²to the end that you should walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own Kingdom and glory.

¹⁰that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
