Genesis 7:16

¹⁰While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

²⁵When once the master of the house has risen up and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ then he will answer and tell you, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

²You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female. ³Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.

¹He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ²I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” ³For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. ⁴He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. ⁵You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, ⁶nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. ⁷A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. ⁸You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. ⁹Because you have made the LORD your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, ¹⁰no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.

⁴Go in and shut the door on you and on your sons, and pour oil into all those containers; and set aside those which are full.”

⁵So she went from him, and shut the door on herself and on her sons. They brought the containers to her, and she poured oil.

²⁷My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. ²⁸I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. ²⁹My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand. ³⁰I and the Father are one.”

²Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

²⁷The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’

⁵who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

²³Then you shall walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble.
