2 Kings 4:4

⁶But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

⁵He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”

⁶He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude. ⁷They also had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also. ⁸They ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over. ⁹Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.

³⁷But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii^[+] of bread and give them something to eat?”

³⁸He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

³⁹He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass. ⁴⁰They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties. ⁴¹He took the five loaves and the two fish; and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all. ⁴²They all ate and were filled. ⁴³They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish. ⁴⁴Those who ate the loaves were^[+] five thousand men.

⁴⁰Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

⁴⁰They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

²⁰Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

¹⁹He said to her, “Give me your son.” He took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into the room where he stayed, and laid him on his own bed. ²⁰He cried to the LORD and said, “LORD my God, have you also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by killing her son?”

³²When Elisha had come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and lying on his bed. ³³He went in therefore, and shut the door on them both, and prayed to the LORD.

^7[+] Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. ⁸He said to them, “Now draw some out, and take it to the ruler of the feast.” So they took it. ⁹When the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn’t know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast called the bridegroom

¹¹Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down, likewise also of the fish as much as they desired.
