Genesis 5:3

²⁵Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, saying, “for God has given me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.”

⁵Behold, I was born in iniquity. My mother conceived me in sin.

⁴Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.

³⁵The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born from you will be called the Son of God.

³We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

¹⁴What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight; ¹⁶how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!

⁴How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?

¹²Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death passed to all men because all sinned.

³⁹All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

²The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God. ³They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
