Genesis 29:2

¹⁰They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them, for he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them by springs of water.

¹⁴but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

⁶Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being tired from his journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

²He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

⁶Don’t stare at me because I am dark, because the sun has scorched me. My mother’s sons were angry with me. They made me keeper of the vineyards. I haven’t kept my own vineyard. ⁷Tell me, you whom my soul loves, where you graze your flock, where you rest them at noon; for why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of your companions?

¹¹He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.

¹³Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.

¹⁷for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

¹⁵Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and lived in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.

¹⁶Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.
