Genesis 28:3

³Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

¹¹God said to him, “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your body.

²⁸God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

¹⁷that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies. ¹⁸All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

¹⁴May God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may release to you your other brother and Benjamin. If I am bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.”

¹⁶I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring may also be counted.

¹When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless. ²I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”

³Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying, ⁴“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations. ⁵Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. ⁶I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.

⁵²The name of the second, he called Ephraim:^[+] For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”

¹God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth.

⁶⁰They blessed Rebekah, and said to her, “Our sister, may you be the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let your offspring possess the gate of those who hate them.”
