Genesis 27:24

⁹Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,

²⁵Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

²²Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who do the truth are his delight.

¹³He changed his behavior before them and pretended to be insane in their hands, and scribbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down on his beard.

⁷For if the truth of God through my lie abounded to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? ⁸Why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), “Let’s do evil, that good may come?” Those who say so are justly condemned.

⁷Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him? ⁸Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?

⁵For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty.

²David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has commanded me to do something, and has said to me, ‘Let no one know anything about the business about which I send you, and what I have commanded you. I have sent the young men to a certain place.’

¹⁶These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,

¹⁹Truth’s lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.
