Genesis 24:54

⁵⁶He said to them, “Don’t hinder me, since the LORD has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

⁵⁹They sent away Rebekah, their sister, with her nurse, Abraham’s servant, and his men.

¹⁹Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said, “Let me now run and carry the king news, how the LORD has avenged him of his enemies.”

⁵Isaac sent Jacob away. He went to Paddan Aram to Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob’s and Esau’s mother.

⁶Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan Aram, to take him a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a command, saying, “You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;”

¹⁰Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.

²⁹Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.

²⁴So he sent his brothers away, and they departed. He said to them, “See that you don’t quarrel on the way.”

²⁷The watchman said, “I think the running of the first one is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.” The king said, “He is a good man, and comes with good news.”

²⁸Ahimaaz called, and said to the king, “All is well.” He bowed himself before the king with his face to the earth, and said, “Blessed is the LORD your God, who has delivered up the men who lifted up their hand against my lord the king!”

³⁸But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, ³⁹“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
