Exodus 9:29

³⁸whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread out his hands toward this house,

¹⁵When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

²⁶for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”

²²Solomon stood before the LORD’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

⁶I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah.

¹⁴Behold, to the LORD your God belongs heaven, the heaven of heavens, and the earth, with all that is therein.

¹²He stood before the LORD’s altar in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands ¹³(for Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits^[+] long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court; and he stood on it, and knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven).

⁵At the evening offering I rose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn; and I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God;

⁵Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;

⁶Whatever the LORD pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.
