Ephesians 5:32

²I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

²For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy. For I promised you in marriage to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

⁵For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of Armies is his name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of the whole earth.

⁷Let’s rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let’s give the glory to him. For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready.” ⁸It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

⁴You will not be called Forsaken any more, nor will your land be called Desolate any more; but you will be called Hephzibah,^[+] and your land Beulah;^[+] for the LORD delights in you, and your land will be married. ⁵For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

²that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,

¹⁶Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God^[+] was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

²⁹He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.

²Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; for your love is better than wine. ³Your oils have a pleasing fragrance. Your name is oil poured out, therefore the virgins love you. ⁴Take me away with you. Let’s hurry. The king has brought me into his rooms. Friends We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will praise your love more than wine! Beloved They are right to love you.

⁵I am dark, but lovely, you daughters of Jerusalem, like Kedar’s tents, like Solomon’s curtains. ⁶Don’t stare at me because I am dark, because the sun has scorched me. My mother’s sons were angry with me. They made me keeper of the vineyards. I haven’t kept my own vineyard. ⁷Tell me, you whom my soul loves, where you graze your flock, where you rest them at noon; for why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of your companions?

⁸If you don’t know, most beautiful among women, follow the tracks of the sheep. Graze your young goats beside the shepherds’ tents.

⁹Kings’ daughters are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir. ¹⁰Listen, daughter, consider, and turn your ear. Forget your own people, and also your father’s house. ¹¹So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord. ¹²The daughter of Tyre comes with a gift. The rich among the people entreat your favor. ¹³The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold. ¹⁴She shall be led to the king in embroidered work. The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you. ¹⁵With gladness and rejoicing they shall be led. They shall enter into the king’s palace. ¹⁶Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You shall make them princes in all the earth. ¹⁷I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever.
