Deuteronomy 34:5

⁵⁰Die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people;

¹Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, ^[+] the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying, ²“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.

³For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. ⁵Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, ⁶but Christ^[+] is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

³They sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God, the Almighty! Righteous and true are your ways, you King of the nations.

⁴“Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

¹Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,^[+] to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

¹⁴The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.

²⁵in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,

³⁵A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. ³⁶If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

⁷My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
