Numbers 12:7

²who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house. ³For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. ⁵Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, ⁶but Christ^[+] is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

¹Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, ^[+] the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,

²⁶He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

²Here, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

¹¹Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.

⁴Come to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious. ⁵You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

³¹When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, the voice of the Lord came to him,

⁹But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.

¹⁵but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in God’s house, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

¹⁸I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
