Deuteronomy 11:18

¹⁶Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

⁶These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; ⁷and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. ⁹You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates.

¹My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,

¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

¹This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you ²that you should remember the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

²⁰My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching. ²¹Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck. ²²When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you. ²³For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

⁹It shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt.

¹²Therefore I will not be negligent to remind you of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth.

²Keep my commandments and live! Guard my teaching as the apple of your eye. ³Bind them on your fingers. Write them on the tablet of your heart.

⁴⁶He said to them, “Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
