Daniel 4:35

²“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.

⁶Whatever the LORD pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

³But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.

³³Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! ³⁴“For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”³⁵“Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?”

³⁶For of him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

¹³Yes, since the day was, I am he. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand. I will work, and who can hinder it?”

¹¹We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,

¹⁵Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing. ¹⁶Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering. ¹⁷All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.

²⁵At that time, Jesus answered, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants. ²⁶Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.

²⁸to do whatever your hand and your counsel foreordained to happen.

¹⁹You will say then to me, “Why does he still find fault? For who withstands his will?” ²⁰But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, “Why did you make me like this?”
