Acts 4:20

¹⁵For you will be a witness for him to all men of what you have seen and heard.

⁹If I say that I will not make mention of him, or speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones. I am weary with holding it in. I can’t.

¹⁶For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about, for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News. ¹⁷For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

¹That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life ²(and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us); ³that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

³²We are his witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

¹⁷“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them. ¹⁸For behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land. ¹⁹They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says the LORD, “to rescue you.”

¹¹Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.”

³⁹We are witnesses of everything he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also^[+] hanging him on a tree. ⁴⁰God raised him up the third day and gave him to be revealed, ⁴¹not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

¹⁸For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me. ¹⁹Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst. ²⁰I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.
