1 Kings 10:23

¹²behold, I have done according to your word. Behold, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, and after you none will arise like you. ¹³I have also given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like you for all your days.

²⁹God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore. ³⁰Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. ³¹For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations all around. ³²He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered one thousand five. ³³He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall; he also spoke of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish. ³⁴People of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, sent by all kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.

²that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, ³in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

²⁷I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

²²So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom. ²³All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

¹⁸He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. ¹⁹For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,

⁸To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
