1 Corinthians 11:2

¹⁵So then, brothers, stand firm and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word or by letter.

²⁸Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: ²⁹“Many women do noble things, but you excel them all.” ³⁰Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. ³¹Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates!

¹⁷Because of this I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly.

¹⁷But in giving you this command I don’t praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.

²²What, don’t you have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise God’s assembly and put them to shame who don’t have enough? What shall I tell you? Shall I praise you? In this I don’t praise you.

⁶Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition which they received from us.

²by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

⁶They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

¹Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more. ²For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

⁶But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
