1 Thessalonians 4:1

¹⁰that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,

³We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers,^[+] even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds,

¹⁸But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

¹⁶But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

⁵Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; ⁶and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control, perseverance; and in perseverance, godliness; ⁷and in godliness, brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love. ⁸For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹For he who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins. ¹⁰Therefore, brothers,^[+] be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.

⁹This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

¹⁰for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more; ¹¹and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you, ¹²that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

¹Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. ²Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

¹²May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you,

¹⁴I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
