Romans 7:15

¹⁷For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

¹⁹For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice. ²⁰But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

²⁰Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and doesn’t sin.

⁷The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.

²For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.

¹²Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.

¹³Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, ¹⁴I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

⁹Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.

⁷But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

²²Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn’t judge himself in that which he approves.

²³and some save, snatching them out of the fire with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.
