Romans 6:14

¹⁸But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

^2[+] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

⁴Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God. ⁵For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death. ⁶But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

⁷What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”⁸But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead. ⁹I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. ¹⁰The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death; ¹¹for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

¹⁰“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says the Lord: “I will put my laws into their mind; I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

¹²Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

⁴But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law, ⁵that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children.

¹⁹Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God. ²⁰Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

⁷Israel, hope in the LORD, for there is loving kindness with the LORD. Abundant redemption is with him. ⁸He will redeem Israel from all their sins.

²³But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

¹⁷For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
