Romans 5:15

²³For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁸for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

¹²Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death passed to all men because all sinned.

¹¹The testimony is this: that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

¹⁶The gift is not as through one who sinned; for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift followed many trespasses to justification. ¹⁷For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

¹⁸So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life. ¹⁹For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous. ²⁰The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,

¹¹After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light^[+] and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.

¹⁵Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

¹⁶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born^[+] Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

²And he is the atoning sacrifice^[+] for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

¹⁰Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
