Romans 2:13

^22[+] But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. ²³For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. ²⁵But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

⁷Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

²¹Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? ²²You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected. ²³So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,”and he was called the friend of God. ²⁴You see then that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. ²⁵In the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

²⁵For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

¹⁶yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

²⁹If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

²¹But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

⁵For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”

¹¹Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”¹²The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”

¹Moses called to all Israel, and said to them, “Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.”
