Psalms 90:5

⁶The voice of one saying, “Cry out!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.

¹⁵As for man, his days are like grass. As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. ¹⁶For the wind passes over it, and it is gone. Its place remembers it no more.

¹⁶who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,

²⁰As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord,^[+] when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.

²⁴For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

²⁰Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night. ²¹The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place.

⁷now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks. ⁸It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, O Immanuel.

⁷The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night. ⁸It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

²⁶They have passed away as the swift ships, as the eagle that swoops on the prey.

⁸He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
