Psalms 8:5

⁷You made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor.

⁹But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.

²⁶God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” ²⁷God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.

¹⁶For most certainly, he doesn’t give help to angels, but he gives help to the offspring^[+] of Abraham.

⁷but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. ⁸And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross. ⁹Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, ¹⁰that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, ¹¹and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²¹far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.

³For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head. ⁴He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever. ⁵His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.

⁴who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,

⁷The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

²⁰who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake, ²¹who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
