Psalms 76:1

¹Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all the peoples, nations, and languages, who dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.

²It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked toward me.

²³For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ What therefore you worship in ignorance, I announce to you.

²⁹Therefore I make a decree that every people, nation, and language which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill, because there is no other god who is able to deliver like this.”

¹⁰Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said, “You are blessed, LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. ¹¹Yours, LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ¹²Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!

¹Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain. ²Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King. ³God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.

⁵“The house which I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods. ⁶But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?

²The LORD has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations. ³He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

¹Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

¹Save me, God, by your name. Vindicate me in your might.

⁷For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him? ⁸What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?
