Psalms 69:19

²looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²³When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

³He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.

⁹Lord, all my desire is before you. My groaning is not hidden from you.

²The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his Anointed,³“Let’s ^[+] break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.” ⁴He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord^[+] will have them in derision.

⁷Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face. ⁸I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s children. ⁹For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.

⁴⁹Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. ⁷All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
