Psalms 60:6

⁶Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time, Canaanites were in the land.

²⁷and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan’s bank, to the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

³⁵Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.

⁶“Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

⁷God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth. ⁸Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is my helmet. Judah is my scepter. ⁹Moab is my wash pot. I will toss my sandal on Edom. I will shout over Philistia.” ¹⁰Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? ¹¹Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies. ¹²Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain. ¹³Through God, we will do valiantly, for it is he who will tread down our enemies.

⁴In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

¹⁶²I rejoice at your word, as one who finds great plunder.

⁷The border of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethath, which is before Shechem. The border went along to the right hand, to the inhabitants of En Tappuah.

¹⁸Then David the king went in and sat before the LORD; and he said, “Who am I, Lord^[+] GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far? ¹⁹This was yet a small thing in your eyes, Lord GOD, but you have spoken also of your servant’s house for a great while to come; and this among men, Lord GOD! ²⁰What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Lord GOD.

²The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness, “Behold, the days shall come on you that they will take you away with hooks, and the last of you with fish hooks.
