Psalms 46:1

¹⁸The LORD is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

⁹The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.

¹⁰The LORD’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

⁷My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. ⁸Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.

¹He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ²I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” ³For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. ⁴He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. ⁵You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, ⁶nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. ⁷A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. ⁸You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. ⁹Because you have made the LORD your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,

⁵I cried to you, LORD. I said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”

¹¹The LORD of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

²⁶In the fear of the LORD is a secure fortress, and he will be a refuge for his children.

⁷For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as the LORD our God is whenever we call on him?

¹⁸that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.
